SNP Glasgow
In 2017, the SNP Glasgow group were looking to develop a campaign for the Glasgow City Council election that would not only embody the party’s aims, but capture the importance of community and their roots within the city. The campaign, design and creative strategy were developed, working closely with local artists and makers to produce campaign materials for city wide distribution.
We wanted to take the usual iconography of the city skyline, which focuses on monuments, and make the campaign about the streets each of us live on. The resulted in a beautifully designed map as the main feature across the campaign along with a hashtag which was used across all communications. We wanted to show the SNP were #ForGlasgow, campaigning for equality #ForGlasgow, jobs #ForGlasgow and prosperity #ForGlasgow.
#ForGlasgow was a cross-platform campaign that included print, digital, website design/development and social media, resulting in a historic win for the SNP.
First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon, said it was 'the best local manifesto ever', and Glasgow City Council Leader, Susan Aitken said, 'We are so grateful for helping us to make this the best local government campaign the SNP has ever run'.
