Worlds End, Floods and Kai
They say to never work with children or animals, but we chose to break the rules for these three pieces of content to promote the new STV News app, and welcomed Kai to the set with open arms.
STV were looking to promote the launch of the new STV News app by showing STV News are at the heart of every story. With this in mind, concepts were developed around three touching stories close to Scotland’s heart; The Worlds End murders, the historic Aberdeenshire floods, and Kai the Shar pei who was left tied up at Ayr train station.
The creative featured the key individuals who appear within the original story, along with a projection of the original news footage playing behind them. This was to visually represent that STV are right there at the centre of the story.
Telling hard-hitting news stories in one minute is challenge in itself, but with three different set ups, 60L of water, a tight budget and an excited pup on set, we took on the challenge and produced three films that engagingly show the broad range of news that STV cover.
Worlds End was nominated for a Nods award 2018.
