The Spotty Bag Shop in Aberdeenshire is an Aladdin's cave of products, clothing, household items and bric-a-brac. They came to us as they wanted to increase footfall during Halloween season with their vast array of costumes they had on offer.
With this in mind, it was important to make the Spotty Bag Shop stand out from the crowd. It's a busy market at that time of year, so taking a different approach to product promotion was the way to go. Rather than show the products and costumes to buy, a poem was penned that captured the playfulness and personality of the products and place, showing they are the place to go for all your spooky needs.
By writing the poem in Doric, Aberdeenshire's local dialec, and using a Doric speaker to voice the poem, it stood out and spoke directly to the audience it was intended for. The client saw an increase in people passing through their doors and even came back for a festive poem to promote their Christmas cheer.
